A joint Investigation by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has led to charges being placed in a homicide that occurred more than a year ago.
According to Sheriff Mike Reece, the Sheriff’s Office began investigating a report of a missing person on December 06, 2015. The same day, 84-year-old Teruko Shaw was discovered deceased a short distance from her home.
During the course of the investigation, authorities developed a juvenile as a suspect in the case. The juvenile was 11 years old at the time of the incident. As a result of the investigation, the juvenile has been charged with Felony Murder, Especially Aggravated Burglary, and Theft of Property.
The subject is currently in custody in another state, awaiting extradition back to Tennessee.
