Longhorns remain at no. 3

Johnson County held firm to its No. 3 state ranking after disposing of No. 9 Cloudland in 1A 30-16. There were no changes in the first six spots.
Alcoa remains at No. 1 after its 45-6 win over Gatlinburg-Pittman. Raleigh Egypt held firm to the No. 2 spot with a 55-7 win over Mitchell.
Austin East follows Johnson County at No. 4. The Roadrunners had a tough time knocking off Northview Academy 41-24 and were trailing after three quarters. Pearl-Cohn won over East Nashville 49-8 and stayed at No. 5. Covington defeated Crockett County 35-30 and remained at No. 6.
Red Bank moved up a spot to No. 7 after knocking off Lenoir City 44-7. South Gibson defeated Craigmont 34-16 and jumped one spot to No. 8.
Loudon came up short against state ranked Marion County of 2A 53-38 and fell to No. 9. Fairview lost to Ravenwood but held off Kingston for the final spot.
