Longhorns' Mighty Mites stay unbeaten

The Johnson County Mighty Mites posted their third consecutive shutout by knocking off Happy Valley 20-0. The Junior Pee Wees dropped a 1508 contest.

Carson Jennings had a 29-yard touchdown run and 71 yards rushing. Carter Atwood scored from three yards out and ran for 91 yards. He also threw a two-point conversion pass to Jennings
Hunter Paisley dazzled the crowd with a 66-yard touchdown run and 89 yards rushing. Brock Jones and Jamie Jones combined to rush for 40 yards.
Jennings had four tackles and two fumble recoveries. Atwood added five tackles and a fumble recovery. Paisley, Tanner Marshall and Jamie Jones had two tackles apiece. Brock Jones, Charlie Sluder and Bryson Kimble each checked in with one.
Sluder and Jones also recovered fumbles.

Thunder Fletcher ran for a touchdown but it wasn’t enough for the Longhorns to knock off Happy Valley.
Evan Dollar, Tanner Marshall and Colby Dollar had some solid play in the backfield. Dalton Pope rushed for 62 yards to lead the ground game.
Connor Simcox kicked a two-point conversion.
