JCMS ambushes Ashe 18-6; they defeat Harris 20-4

Coach Greg Reece’s Junior High Lady Longhorns made quick work of Ashe County on Monday. They pounded out 22 hits in an 18-6 victory.
Bella Miller and Hannah Brooks tossed three innings each with Miller earning the victory.
Margaret Morrow, Kelly Dugger, Brooks and Julia Jenkins had three hits each for JCMS. Miller, Natalie Winters, Renie Morrow and Lauran Wright added two hits apiece. The duo of Britain Peele and Alexis Henley closed out the hit parade with one each.

The Junior High softball team looked impressive in their 20-4 win over Harris.
The Longhorns hammered out 15 hits against the gals from Spruce Pine, North Carolina.
Bella Miller, Julia Jenkins, Britain Peele, Alexis Henley, Margaret Morrow and Laura Wright provided two hits apiece in the win. Kelly Dugger, Hannah Brooks and Emily Garr added one apiece.
