JCHS Volleyball Team holds annual banquet
By Matt Hill
Last Thursday night, the JCHS Volleyball Team held its banquet in the commons area of the high school.
The event was kicked off by a prayer from JCHS Senior Football Player Danny Herman and then a very nice meal was enjoyed.
JCHS School employee Kathy Motsinger, who fixed a delicious supper of lasagna, green beans and salad, catered the meal.
After some thank yous, Coach Eric Crabtree gave out certificates and a T-Shirt to all the girls and then the seniors received a gift certificate to Subas.
Miranda Payne was honored for making All-Conference and All-District and Sarah Swift was honorable mention.
We had a good time, JCHS head coach Eric Crabtree said. Kathy catered a great me and it was nice spending time with everyone and saying goodbye to the seniors. We had a good banquet. I enjoyed it.
Crabtree has really enjoyed being around this group of girls.
Its a very good group, he said. Its bitter-sweet because its the end of the season and its time to refocus and work on things in the off-season. I hate to see it end.
The shirt Crabtree gave the girls had a special meaning
It said, Longhorn Volleyball, we learn it, we live it, we love it. We want to learn as much about volleyball and try to get better. Im very pleased with them.
