JCHS cheerleaders are 'Commodores for a day”

The Johnson County High School Cheerleaders departed Johnson County on September 18th to take part in a big time two-day event in Nashville.

The girls were selected to perform inside of Vanderbilt Stadium during the Commodores football game with Austin Peay in front of 23,000 fans alongside 400 other cheerleaders and dance teams from Tennessee during the Vanderbilt Cheer America Halftime extravaganza.

The JCHS cheerleaders were the only ladies from East Tennessee at the event.  As a result of the performance, the ladies received a bid to perform at a national competition held in Nashville on December 28th.
The ladies representing Johnson County High School were Bailey Spencer (Captain), Taylor Woods, Breana Blair, Mikayla Moody, Esmeralda Mendoza (Co-captain), Jada Kruzinski, Courtney Stout, Cora Hayworth, Caleigh Blair, Mindy Rozier, Makayla Bilodeau, Shahnoa Greene, Jada Gentry, Sydney Osborne, and Natalyi Taylor.
The cheerleaders are coached by Casey Sutherland.
