Horns swept by Sullivan East

BLUFF CITY— Johnson County’s free fall continued on Monday in Bluff City dropping a pair of league games to the Patriots. The boys stayed close but fell 67-54. The Lady Longhorns dropped a 62-20 contest.

Johnson County trailed by seven points after the first quarter and never could make up the difference. They kept it under double-digits the entire way only to see East win by a baker’s dozen at the end.

Chase Phillips led the Longhorns with 19 points. Cody Bailie added 13 and Jose Guzman tallied 10. Bud Icenhour just missed double figures scoring nine.
Gavin Grubb logged a game high 21 points for the ‘Pats. Garrett Johnson and Hunter Owens provided 14 and 10 points respectively.

The Lady Longhorns gave it their all but weren’t no match for the second place Patriots.
Kelsey Duperry and Kourtney Tolley scored six points apiece for Johnson County.
Caitlin Stewart with 13 and Kara Stafford’s 12 points led Sullivan East. Megan Addison reached double figures with 10.
