Coach Penny Gentry watched her Longhorns do well in a meet at Patrick Henry High School on Saturday.
The Longhorns set some personal best during the Judy Thomas Invitational. That was pleasing to Gentry.

“I am very proud of our track team,” said Gentry. “They have a lot of heart and they give 110% while on the track. We are still trying some people at different events to be able to give them the best advantage at conference which is April 23.
JCHS got a second place finish from the 1600 meter Sprint Medley for girls.

“It’s the first time they had ever run it,” said Gentry. “They had done well in their other races.”
The team was made up of Tori Israel, Tiffany Price, Stephanie Coffee and Caleigh Blair.
Austin Norris finished fourth in the 300-meter hurdles. Dalton Brown had a fifth place finish in the 1600 meter run.
Listed below are the Johnson County athletes and how they finished.
