Johnson County was able to deliver more hits than a pair of “Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots” on Friday in their game against Hampton. Their 20 hits led to a 23-2 in over the Bulldogs in their final regular season game. And several players had banner performances.
Hannah Brooks went 2-for-2 with four RBIs and a home run. Natalie Winters had three hits and a homer.
Julia Jenkins drove in four runs with a pair of hits. Britain Peele was 2-for-2 with two doubles. Lindsey Wills was 2-for-2. Kelly Dugger drove in a pair of runs going 2-for-4.
Margaret Morrow struck out five in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound. Bella Miller tossed the final two frames.
Summer Hopson went 1-for-1 and scored Hampton’s lone run to lead the Dogs. Kaylee Miller and Faith Hartley had the other two hits.
