Virginia (Peggy) Curd Age 92 of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015.
She was a faithful member of the Norwood Church of Christ for over 50 years. She was a “mother to all” in helping everyone with a smile and loyal friendship.
Born in Lansing NC. Preceeded in death by her husband, Richard Clay Curd; mother, Kate Powers; father, Harrison Powers; sisters, Audry and Georgia. Survived by brother, Elmo Powers; and sons, Lewis and Dean Curd; nieces, Edna Luther, Jo Ann Hall; and grandchildren, Allison Kruse, Ami Higgins, Andrew Curd, Melissa Curd, Keith Curd; great grandchildren, Collins Kruse, Grant Kruse, Garrett Kruse, Walker Higgins, and Hadley Higgins.
The grandchildren and great grandchildren will act as honorary pallbearers.
Funeral service for Peggy was held on Monday, February 2, 2015 at 11 am in the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel. The family received friends from 10 until 11 am prior to the funeral service. Mr. Bob Cowles of Norwood Church of Christ officiated. Graveside service was in the Dunn Memorial Park, Forge Creek, Tennessee.
