ROBERT LEE ‘ROB’ STANLEY

Robert Lee ‘Rob’ Stanley, age 51, of Mountain City, Tennessee and formerly of Butler, Tennessee, lost his battle with MS of 20 years on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He was born on June 4, 1963 in Jennersville, Pennsylvania to Bob Lee Stanley and the late Lois Ann Miller Stanley, who was a dedicated mother and caregiver to Rob. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kaylea Stanley.
Rob lived life to the fullest with everyone and everything, including his love of fast cars and Harleys. He had a genuine love, laughter, compassion and sense of humor that will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Rob’s memory will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
In addition to his father, Bob, Rob is survived by his children: Brandon Michael Stanley and friend Tara Gentry, and Brian and Brianna; granddaughters: Chasity, Alyssa and Alexis; dearly loved friend and mother of his children, Ginny Almony; aunts and uncles: Joe and Shirley Stanley, Richard and Lorraine Barnes, Williey and Lucille Finley, Jerry C. and Jean Miller, Lester Miller and James McDaniel; numerous cousins; his special friends at Mountain City Care Center.
The family received friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Mountain City Funeral Home. Funeral service followed at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Steven Spencer and Rev. Miller officiating. Music was provided by the Mountain City Care Center Choir.
Graveside service and interment were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2014 at the Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Derrick McDaniel, T.J. McDaniel, Rick McDaniel, Ronnie McDaniel, Jimmy Stanley and Randy Potter.
At other times, the family received friends at the home of Rob’s son, Brandon, 1261 Old Hwy 67, Butler, TN.
