Ricky Thomas ‘Rick’ Fenner, age 59, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013 at his residence. He was born on September 30, 1954 to the late Gail and Thelma Fenner and had lived in Johnson County all of his life. Rick was a former football player for JCHS, loved UT football, and enjoyed refereeing basketball and football. He attended Central Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Trudy Fenner Potter.
Rick is survived by his daughters: Trista Wilson and husband Jesse, Ericka Roark and husband Aaron, Chelsea Fenner and fiance Aaron Crowder; son: Ricky Fenner; brother: Roger Fenner and wife Jennie; granddaughter: Clara Wilson; nieces: Davina Younce, Leticia Potter, and Cassandra Pusateri.
Funeral services were conducted at 7:00 PM on Monday, November 18, 2013 from the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Thomason officiating.
The family received friends from 5-7:00 pm prior to the service.
Graveside service and interment were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the Phillippi Cemetery. Pallbearers were David Potter, Roger Fenner, Tim Fenner, Mike Phillippi, Steven ’Puddy’ Pardue and Larry Hutchinson. Honorary pallbearers were: Jesse Wilson, Aaron Roark, Aaron Crowder, John Younce, Ralph Stout and the TSSAA referees.
At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Rick’s daughter, Trista Wilson, 337 Hospital Hill Road, Mountain City, TN 37683.
