Raymond James Wilson, age 68, of Butler and Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. He was born on August 15, 1947 in Johnson County, Trade, Tennessee to Crissie Potter Wilson Price of Mountain City and the late William Allen Wilson. In addition to his father, James was preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda Wilson; daughter, Rebecca McIntosh; brother, Gilbert Wilson; sister, Carolyn Gentry, and brother-in-law, Roy Roark.
James liked to listen to his music collection, read, watch Westerns, work hard and joke. James was a drywall contractor and also enjoyed hanging drywall all over the United States with his two brothers, Gilbert and Harold.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Susie Wilson of Butler, TN; daughter, Samantha Wilson of Valley Forge, TN; brothers, Harold Wilson and wife Edith, Miekle Wilson and wife Dusti of Lenior, NC; sisters, Barbara Wilson, Linda Roark, Jessie Reece and husband Mike, and Jo Phillippi; several grandchildren and a great grandchild along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
It was James’ wish to be cremated with no formal service to be held.
