Mary Thomas Wills, age 78, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the Indian Path Medical Center. She was born on August 18, 1934 to the late Reed and Ruth Jennings Thomas. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters-in-law, Jay Wills and wife Reba, Dot Shore and Elizabeth (Lib) Muse McClellan and husbands Joe Muse and Jim McClellan.
Mary was head of the Methodist Church Women for many years. She also volunteered for the March of Dimes for 30 years. Mary loved to play Bridge and golf. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Mary is survived by her husband, Lewis Wills; daughter, Ann Wills of Mountain City, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Lewis Wills II and Lonna of Memphis, TN; sister, Nancy Wood of Lexington, SC, brother, Donald Thomas of New Port Ritchey, FL; brother-in-law, Dave Shore; nieces, Lou Kennedy, Nancy Shoun and husband Tommy Jack, Linda Woodring and husband Morris, Janice Shore-Pearson and Mary Lib Muse Dickinson; nephews: D.R. Thomas, Ronnie Thomas, Jim Wills and wife Charlotte, Mike Wills and wife Bernadene, Stan Shore and Billy Joe Muse and many special friends.
The family received friends from 1-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from the First United Methodist Church the funeral service followed at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Hankins officiating. Music was provided by Ms. Sandra Fortune.
Graveside Service and Interment followed from the Wills Family Cemetery.
