Louise S. Adams, age 79, of Rose Hill, Virginia, formerly of Mountain City, TN passed away, Sunday, June 19, 2016 in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. She was born August 7, 1936 to the late Leonard Shuler and Dorcus Yeary Shuler. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Guy Adams, one son, Ray Adams, and several brothers and sisters. While in Mountain City she attended First United Methodist Church. Louise loved spending time with her family, gardening, and frying chicken.
Survivors include: one son, Alvin Clyde Adams of Butler, four daughters: Kay Adams Chambers and Fay Adams Solomon, both of Annapolis, Maryland, Nancy Adams and husband Mike of Shallotte, North Carolina, and Lisa Adams Eller of Mountain City, Tennessee and special daughter-in-law Dianne B. Adams, Huntsville, Alabama, one sister, Pebble G. Heron, Exeter, Virginia and brother Carl Stidham and wife Louise of Norton, Virginia. Grandchildren: Monica L. Tidwell and husband Corey, Valarie Waldrup Kennedy and husband Danny, Andrea B. Eller, Raechel H. Solomon, Adam N. Chambers, Noah G. Solomon, and Adrian B. “A.J.” Eller, great grandchildren: Seth Gravley, Shianne L. Hasley, Savanna L. Hall, Jase D. Lunceford, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
There will be a graveside service at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from Phillippi Cemetery with Rev. Billy Morefield officiating. Pallbearers will be Tim Shuler, David Lunceford, Mike Hewett, A.J. Eller, and Danny Kennedy. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Robert Solomon and Mary H. College.
