Larry John Dugger

Mr. Larry John Dugger, 63, of Butler, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at Johnson City Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was the son of the late Frank and Orpha Keller Dugger. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary E. Dugger and Audrey Keller; two brothers, Raymond Dugger and Richard Dugger and his wife, Paulene Dugger; and one nephew, Bobby L. Dugger.
Mr. Dugger had lived many years in Salisbury, North Carolina before making Butler, Tennessee his home. He was a disabled veteran of the U.S. Army and was a lifetime member of the VFW. He attended Butler Baptist Church in Butler, Tennessee.
Survivors include two sisters, Betty Ward and husband Lewis, Hampton and Frankie White and fiancé Jerry Woods of Butler, TN; his dear, close friends from Salisbury, North Carolina, Carlos and Joyce Parro and their daughter, Jenna; and a special friend, Ester. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service for Mr. Dugger was conducted at 7:00 pm on Friday, November 2, 2012, in the Riverside Chapel at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton, with Reverend Daniel Wood officiating. The family received friends from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, prior to the service in the funeral home chapel and at the residence at all other times.
The graveside service was conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at the Sugar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Butler, Tennessee. Active pallbearers was selected from family and friends. Military honors were accorded by the American Legion.
