Jerry was a farmer and enjoyed being outdoors. He graduated from high school and attended 3 years of college until his health declined. Brother Jerry Lewis was a man that loved God. He was a faithful part of Rock Creek Church and will be truly missed. Jerry was the church bell ringer and prayed faithfully over the offering. He was a big help with the scriptures because he spent a great deal of time reading and studying the Bible. When his sisters would be sick he would ask for prayer for them. Jerry always said that coming to church was a big part of his life. He grew to love the children and cherished all the things they gave him. Not only was he all these things, he was our friend.

Jerry is survived by his sister, Betty Osborne and husband Jack, half sister, Mary Lee Mullaney, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jerry’s body will lie in state at Mountain City Funeral Home between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 for viewing. The graveside Service & interment will be Wednesday January 12, 2022 at 2 p.m. from Ashelawn Memorial Cemetery (3470 US Hwy 221 North, Jefferson, NC 28640) with Pastor Anthony Roark officiating.
