Gary Wayne Weaver, age 67, of Mountain City, TN and formerly of North East, MD, passed away suddenly on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2014. He was born May 4, 1947 to the late Van and Mary Weaver. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Reynolds, and daughter, Mary Elizabeth Weaver.
Gary was a well-respected man and was loved by all who knew him.  Gary served his country in the U.S. Army as well as served his community at the local fire department.  He served for 40 years and led the department as president during the initial addition of the recreation hall.
During Gary’s working years, he was a career man at Chrysler Corp., Newark, DE, where he worked his way through the ranks and led many departments throughout.  Gary’s years of service ended in 1994 when he retired with 30 years of service.
Gary is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sandra Turner Weaver; his daughters: Carol Halsey (spouse Greg) and Dawn Chadwick, both of North East, MD; his siblings: Bill Weaver (spouse Betty), Jerry ”Bo” Weaver (spouse Thelma), Ernie Weaver, Sharon Weaver and Kathy Bordeaux; 6 grandchildren: Gregory, Marissa, Katelynn, Brandon, David and Shaina; and 2 great grandchildren: Evelyn and Brayden.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Phil Meekins  at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Crouch Funeral Home of North East, MD. The family received friends from 10 -12 prior to the service. Interment with military and fire company honors followed the funeral services in Bay View Cemetery, North East, MD.
