Dorothy “Jeanne” Caraway, age 77, of Johnson City, died at the Johnson City Medical Center on March 21, 2015 following a long illness.
Jeanne was born in Johnson City on June 9, 1937. She was a long-term member of the Asbury-Agape family in which she was known and loved for her cantankerous personality, spontaneous wit, and ready smile. She had a love of baseball, strawberry shakes, and cheese balls. Her favorite pastime was watching baseball games on tv, especially her beloved Atlanta Braves.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Edith Caraway; a sister Frances Brown; and two brothers, Bob and Tip.  She is survived by her brother Jim and his wife Karinsue and brother Ken and his wife Jo, and several nieces and nephews.
A committal service was held at the columbarium of the First United Methodist Church of Mountain City on March 29, 2015.
