David E. Graybeal, age 70, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at his residence in Watertown. Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown. Pastor Steve Biswell officiated.
Visitation was at the chapel on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to services. Burial was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
David was born on May 1, 1945, in Sioux City, IA. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country in Vietnam. David was honorably discharged in 1966. He then began his career in the transportation industry, which he was in for 30 years. David maintained his CDL until his death.
On January 3, 2004, David married Roselyn “Rose” Tebbe at First Baptist Church in Bellevue, NE. The couple retired in 2005, and relocated to Watertown. They enjoyed taking many trips to Las Vegas, NV.
David was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 120. He was passionate about his career and loved doing good deeds for others. He enjoyed Country Western music and attending concerts. David and Rose enjoyed traveling, especially going to fairs where they would walk around and listen to different bands and try all different kinds of food.
David is survived by his loving wife, Rose, of Watertown; one daughter, Julie (Chris) Mastell, of Forest Lake, MN; eight step-children; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother, Bob (Elaine) Graybeal, of Mountain City, TN; and one uncle, Wilber Kahlstorf, of Inver Grove Heights, MN.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Graybeal.
