Survivors include three daughters: Connie Hodge and husband Jason of Mountain City, Debbie Triplett of Mountain City, and Charlene Norris of Delaware; two sons: Dwayne Bo Atwood and wife Christy of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Jeff McFadden and wife Marilyn of Florida; sister, Della Potter of Elizabethton; two brothers: Joe McFadden and Dan McFadden both of Mountain City; and special friend Mark Triplett; seven grandchildren: Dwayne Canter, Brittney Arnold, Bronson Triplett, Ethan Atwood, Luke Atwood, J.J. Hodge, and AnnaRose Hodge; several other grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service was held Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 1:00 p.m., from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Dr. Daniel Jones officiating. The family received friends from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside service and interment followed from the Canter-McFadden Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Dwayne Canter, Jason Hodge, Bronson Triplett, Dwayne “Bo” Atwood, Daniel Phipps, Doug McFadden, Rob McFadden, and Michael Hodge. Honorary pallbearers were Daniel Winters, Roger Stanley, and Daniel Fritz.
