Billy “Joe” Tester age 70, of Ashland, died Monday, May 16, 2016 at his residence.  He was born in Mountain City, TN on August 18, 1945, the son of Robert Alex and Mae (Dean) Tester.  He had lived most of his life in Ashland.  Joe had been employed with the Garber Co. as a pressman and later retired in 2008 from Book Master’s after 20 years of service.  He was a sports fan especially the Cleveland Indians and the Cincinnati Bengals.  He also enjoyed boating, fishing and riding his Harley.
On September 13, 1991 Joe married Pam (Faulk) Tester who survives.  Also surviving are his children, Billy Joe (Shirley) Tester, David (Amanda) Tester, Crystal Tester, and Susan Tester; his stepchildren, Ginny Wright, Nicole Roberts, Shane Roberts, and, Andrea Roberts; his 11 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret (Dub) Cross, Vernie Smith and Bertha Wilcox; his brother, Alfred (Sandy) Tester; mother in-law, Audrey (Clyde) Bowersock; along with his sister in-law, Kathy (Steve) Schultz
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Dawn Tester; brothers, Robert, Harvey, Millard and Ellis; his sister, Geraldine; and father in-law, Harold Faulk.
At Joe’s request there will be no services at this time.  There will be private family services at a later date.  The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Heyl Funeral Home, 227 Broad St. Ashland, Ohio 44805.
