Winners of the local county election

The winners of the 2014 local elections are as follows: Larry Potter retained the office of mayor; Lisa Johnson Crowder is the new county trustee; William Bliss Hawkins was re-elected as general sessions and juvenile court judge; Mike Reece was re-elected as sheriff, Melissa Hollaway is the new circuit court clerk; Tammie Fenner retained her position as county clerk and Freida May Dugger is the new register of deeds. Darrell Reece was elected as road superintendent.
Bill Adams, David “Eugene” Campbell, Jr. Mike Taylor are the new county commissioners for District one; Scott Mast is the county commissioner for district two; Jerry Grindstaff, Bill Roark and Christopher Pierce are the new commissioners for district three. Tommy Poore and Ricky Snyder were elected as commissioners for district four; Jimmy Lowe, George Lowe and Steve Marshall will serve in district five. Huey Long was reelected, as county commissioner in district six and Evelyn Hill and Gina Meade will serve in district seven.
