Updated list of candidates running in upcoming election

As of press time, 25 individuals have picked up the required paperwork and have been qualified to run for elected office in Johnson County. A total of 58 people have picked up their paperwork. The qualifying deadline for this year’s election is April 3, 2014 at noon.
The following is a list of qualified candidates:
County Mayor: Larry D. Potter.
County Legislative Body, District One: William K. Adams and David E. Campbell, Jr.
County Legislative Body, District Two: Lester R. Dunn and John L. Potter, Jr.
County Legislative Body, District Three: Christopher B. Pierce
County Legislative Body, District Four: Tommy R. Poore
County Legislative Body, District Five: Jerry W. Gentry and James M. Fenner
County Legislative Body, District Seven: Evelyn W. Hill
Trustee: Lisa K. Crowder and Michael C. Trivette
Sheriff: William Michael Reece, Edward D. Hoak and Elmer Kenneth Lane
County Clerk: Tammy C. Fenner and Patricia G. Grindstaff
Register of Deeds: Freida A. Dugger, Jonathan D. Pleasant and Patsy C. Laws
Road Superintendent: James Kenneth Moody
