Tomahawk wins multiple TPA advertising awards

The Tennessee Press Association has announced the results of the 2010 Advertising Ideas Contest, and again this year The Tomahawk has tallied up several winners.
The Tomahawk brought home first place in the “Best Feature” category with the doubletruck co-op featuring the 2009 Pumpkin Festival.
In the “Best Reader Retention” category, a subscriber renewal advertisement in The Tomahawk also won first place.
For the second year in a row, The Tomahawk placed in the “Best Reader Contest” with the “Precious Pets” contest, this time taking second.
Having updated and improved the entire website this year at www.thetomahawk.com, the paper is especially proud of the second place award for “Best Overall Website.”
Rounding out the five awards received this year, The Tomahawk received third place for a Hardee’s “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” advertisement in the “Best 1/4 Page Ad” category.
