Hilliard is a married mother of one and currently resides in Laurel Bloomery. She has a deep love and appreciation for the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee as well as Appalachian culture. A natural artist, she enjoys photography, music, and graphic art.
“I am pleased to be working with such an amazing team and I hope that my contributions will be enjoyed by our readers. The sense of community this job has provided is wonderful and I’m proud to be a part of it.”
The Tomahawk editor, Angie Gambill, spoke highly of Hilliard and the talents that she brings to the position. “Lacy is one of the most talented people I have had the pleasure of working with in the newspaper industry. Although she has only written for the paper a few months, we have already come to count on her wide base of knowledge and her amazing creativity,” said Gambill. “I don’t know how we got along without her.”
