The “Fifth Sunday Fellowship in Song” to be held at the First United Methodist Church

The “Fifth Sunday Fellowship in Song” service will be held at First United Methodist Church on Sunday, May 29th at 11:00 a.m. The worship service will include congregational singing of familiar hymns and uplifting music by the church choir and special guests, Margaret Swiney, Dan Beebe, and Stephanie Lipson. Swiney, musician extraordinaire, will play several selections on solo handbells, including “Amazing Grace” and “Simple Gifts.” Additionally, she will share her piano expertise with a collection of pieces for the children. She is accomplished with many other instruments including solo desk bells, ukulele, bowed psaltery, dulcimer, one-string banjo and thumb harp.

Beebe will share his profound vocal talents. He honed his skills in the professional acting arena. He became a professional actor after graduation from Johnson County High School. Folks enjoyed his amazing talents on the Barter Stage for many years.

Stephanie Lipson will lightened the mood with her dynamic skills on the ukulele. She will be leading a ukulele sing-along. She and her mother Margaret Swiney are residents of Bristol.

Everyone is invited to be a part of this musical worship service as we share in melodious praise. First United Methodist Church is located at 128 North Church Street. Reverend Richie Hayes is the pastor. For more information, call 727-7191.
