Several meth related arrests made in county

According to a press release from the Johnson County’s Sheriff’s office, multiple arrests for conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine were made on May 28, 2013. The arrests came after a lengthy investigation that included the joint efforts of the Johnson County’s Sheriff’s Department, the Department of Drug Enforcement Administration, United States Marshalls and the Counter Drug Task Force.
The following people were apprehended on federal indictments: Gerald Dean Campbell, 42, of Niles Campbell Lane in Shady Valley; Heather Michelle Eller, 29, of 441 Old Butler Road in Mountain City; Lance Douglas Hammons, 41, 1926 Forge Creek Road, also of Mountain City; Billy Edward Hartness, 34, of 163 Rine Street, Mountain City; Brittany Lynn Howard, 22, of 607 Graybeal Avenue, Mountain City; Benjamin Travis Morefield, 32, 3164 Highway 67 West, Mountain City and Debbie Lynn Snyder, 34, of 400 Furnace Creek Road, also in Mountain City. They were taken to Washington County Center for processing and then taken to Greeneville, Tennessee.
Five individuals that are currently held in the Johnson County jail and other local detention centers will have detainers placed upon them and will be picked up by United States Marshalls at a later day. These include: Janet Lee Bunting, 44, of 121 Illinois Street in Mountain City, along with Stacy Theo Snyder, 43, of the same address; Johnny Glenn Reece II, 31, 220 Seahorn Lane, Mountain City; Aaron Allen Stout, 28, 607 Hillcrest Drive, Mountain City, as well as Terence Lee Turnmire, 30, of 2493 Cold Springs Road in Mountain City.
At this time, information on bond amounts and court dates is not available. More arrests are pending in regard to the investigation.
