Scarecrows on Main

“Scarecrows on Main” judges, State Representative Timothy Hill and First Tennessee Development Districts Director of Community Development Mark Stevens, braved the rainy weather on Friday evening to pick the winners of this year’s fabulous scarecrow exhibits in downtown Mountain City. In first place was Shey Bray’s “Scarelett O’Hara;” Positive Thinkers’ “Kiss the Crows” came in second, and Beta Theta’s “The Crow Brothers” came in third.
The judges stated that they really had a difficult time with their judging duties, as so many of the exhibits were creative and excellent. “Scarecrows on Main” exhibits create a visual feast in the downtown area while entertaining locals and tourists alike throughout the entire month of October.
The “People’s Choice” voting is still going on until Friday, October 9th at 5pm, and people are encouraged to visit Mountain City Antiques to cast their ballot for their favorite scarecrow exhibit. Cash prizes will be awarded this week for the 2015 Scarecrows on Main winners and the following week for “People Choice.”
