Johnny Wilson, an evangelist who has been spreading the Gospel of Jesus for approximately 36 years through his ministry, Johnny Wilson Evangelistic Association, will be speaking to the youth of Johnson County beginning Monday, August 29th. He offers encouragement through the WIN program, which stands for work at life, include others and never quit.
Originally from Zionville, North Carolina, Wilson has ties to this region as he attended Watauga High School in Boone and has received degrees from Liberty University, located in Lynchburg, Virginia. For the first 10 years of his ministry, Wilson focused on events in local churches around the area before expanding into crusades across the nation. In the past 10 years, he has gone into prisons and schools around the world to preach the Word of God. He has also traveled internationally to Spain, South Africa and Ukraine, and additionally making approximately 15 trips to El Salvador and 13 to Colombia. Wilson has spoken at public schools and medical conferences introducing the concepts of the WIN program.
He will begin his week by visiting two of the elementary schools in Johnson County, three elementary schools on Tuesday, along with addressing the middle school, high school and extended service center students on Wednesday, August 31st. The Johnson County Rally, open to all, will be held that Wednesday evening, beginning at 7:00 pm at the Johnson County High School gym where Wilson will share the Gospel.
