Hospital foundation’s ‘Taste of the Mountains’ raises $40,000

A late snowfall made for a chilly entrance at the third annual Taste of the Mountains at Redtail Golf and Country Club. The event was for the Johnson County Community Hospital Foundation to purchase new equipment and remodel the physical therapy department.
Foundation and Event Chair Temple Reece welcomed everyone to the dinner and introduced Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey, State Representative Timothy Hill, City Mayor Lawrence Keeble, Sheriff Mike Reece, Mountain States Foundation President Patricia Holtsclaw, Senior VP and Chief Development Officer Tony Keck, Chief Medical Officer Kent Wright, Corporate Director of Outpatient Services Tammy Martin and Drs. Jim and Susanne Shine. She introduced Mountain States President and CEO, Alan Levine who spoke about the caring spirit of our community and our dedication to working hard and making positive changes.
Reece then thanked the event committee, Karen Clark JCCHF Liaison, Andy Wright, Sarah Campbell, Karla Prudhomme, Chastity Trivette, Kerry Stout, Taunda Motsinger and Robert Lowe and the table sponsors Crest Point Health, Danny Herman Trucking, Food City, Maymead, Inc and Triple C Transportation. She also thanked many others who made the event possible including the auction donors, Gadabouts Catering, Watauga Lake Winery, Lyle and Kendall Habermill of Redtail and all the guests and volunteers.
