Hodge says goodbye, Ward is promoted to office manager position

After next week, Mabel Hodge’s familiar face and voice will no longer greet visitors and callers to The Tomahawk. After 27 years, Friday, October 8th will be the official end of her Tomahawk career and the beginning of her retirement.
“There has never been a more dependable employee than Mabel Hodge,” said Bill Thomas, publisher of The Tomahawk.
“Needless to say, we will miss her very much. It’s hard to think about the office without Mabel.”
The Tomahawk staff will be hosting a retirement send-off for Mabel next Wednesday morning, October 6th from 9 to 11 a.m. The public, business acquaintances, former co-workers, family and friends are invited to drop by for a reception in her honor as we wish her well in her future endeavors.

With Mabel’s departure, The Tomahawk’s graphic artist, Heather Ward, has been promoted to the office manager position. She will begin her official duties in this capacity on Monday, October 11th.
“I have every confidence in Heather’s abilities,” said Thomas. “Although she is taking on a substantial workload, I expect this to be a fairly seamless transition.”
