Four arrested on meth charges

On Friday February 17, Johnson County Sheriff's Office along with Mountain City Police Department, discovered an operational Methamphetamine Lab on Depot Street in Mountain City. According to Sheriff Mike Reece officers were looking for another subject when they discovered the methamphetamine lab. After the discovery, officers took four subjects into custody, Robert Courtner Jr., John D. Trivette, and Hunter Atwood. These three subjects were charged with Initiation of the Process to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Felony Drug Paraphernalia, and Child Abuse. Another subject was arrested in relation to this. Sheriff Reece tells us that Karen Fletcher was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The Department of Children Services was contacted to remove three children. The Mountain City Fire Department responded to the location to assist with the decontamination of the subjects. The Tennessee Meth Task Force response Truck responded to assist with the cleanup. This investigation is ongoing.
