Community Theatre to perform ‘Dashing Through The Snow’

By Lacy Hilliard
Johnson County Community Theatre invites everyone to join them December 3rd-6th at Heritage Hall, for a laugh-out-loud holiday comedy. The Johnson County Community Theatre will perform Dashing Through the Snow, a Jones, Hope and Wooten production.
It’s Christmas week in Tinsel, Texas and Trina, the owner of The Snowflake Inn, is trying to keep it together. She’s reached the end of her rope, and you would too if you had to deal with these guests! Mrs. Claus and an elf, two feuding 80 year old sisters and their well meaning nephew and niece. A couple of AWOL actors and a frustrated stage manager, then, to top it all off, the Futrelle sisters and Raynerd all show up at her B&B. Did I mention she’s trying to win a coveted award from a very whiny reviewer and trying to keep her employee, Lou Ida, happy? Yes, it is chaos of the very funniest kind!
All this Christmas madness is directed by Janet Griffith with assistance from Kathy Terrill. When asked about her first experience directing a production, Griffith said, “I’ve had great cooperation from the cast, which is a huge help.” Griffith went on to express her excitement to learn about set design. “This is my first experience with set design, I’ve done costuming in the past but this should be really interesting.”
