Arrests made in connection with shooting incident in Johnson County

According to a press release from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department, after further investigation into a call received yesterday, January 7, 2016, into a shooting on McElyea Road, investigators have concluded the incident originally began from a domestic argument.
According to the sheriff’s release, James Osborne, along with his brother, Charlie Osborne, entered the residence of James’ daughter, Whitley Osborne, without consent. The sheriff’s report states that Charlie Osborne will be charged this morning with aggravated burglary and simple assault in connection with the incident.
The release states that Whitley, Brad Price, Jessica Fallin and Joshua Carrilo were at Whitley’s address. According to the press release, an argument began in which a handgun was presented. Price, Fallin and Carrilo fled the scene because James Osborne had allegedly taken possession of the weapon and began firing shots. The sheriff’s report indicates Carrilo ran to a neighbor’s home to call 911. Fallin and Price proceeded to leave the scene in her vehicle, but were stopped at the entrance to McElyea Road by officers for questioning regarding the incident at the residence.
According to the report, Fallin was found to be in possession of Schedule II drugs and paraphernalia. A search of Price led him to be charged with possession of Schedule II for resale. Questioning and search of Joshua Carillo led to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the sheriff’s report, at the scene was Whitley Osborne’s three-year-old child, who has been removed at this time from her custody and in the care of child protective services.
The report indicates that during yesterday’s investigation, officers from Carter County were in Johnson County looking for stolen property. Upon returning to the scene at McElyea Road, stolen property was recovered that included some that the officers had been searching for. It was at this time that a meth lab was found on the premises.
The following individuals have been charged and arrested in connection with the shooting incident that took place on McElyea Road on Thursday, January 7, 2016. James Edward Osborne was charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated assault times two and domestic assault. His bond was set at $47,500 and Osborne remains in custody. Brad Price was charged with possession of Schedule II drugs for resale. His bond was set at $40,000 and he remains in custody. Jessica Fallin was charged with Schedule II drugs, along with possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $31,500. Fallin was bonded out. Joshua Carrilo was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $1500 and he remains in jail.According to the sheriff’s report, the investigation is still ongoing and more charges may be pending.
