Roger and Daisey Maxey
1093 Sage Valley Circle, Mountain City, TN
Built in 1986, this unique and progressive home was one of the first on the Redtail Golf Course. The open, two-story floor plan is completely enclosed in an air envelope which insulates against both heat and cold. The passive solar feature provides hot water for the home during most of the year, while the water stove provides the heat.
Purchased two years ago from the original owners, Roger and Daisey have added their rustic flavor in plank wood flooring, western antiques and warm colors. Collections of hand made pottery, black and white enamelware and hand made quilted window coverings decorate the home.
One of the Maxeys favorite features is the two-story solarium with full glass views of the 15th Green. The natural cedar siding and open flooring give the room an outdoor feel and a perfect spot for casual dining or viewing the wildlife on the golf course.
