Nave reiterates the reason for the season

It’s sad that for years Atheists have made fun of Jesus. One billboard said one million Atheists in N.Y. are happy without God. Only an hour drive from the shooting tragedy in Connecticut, Atheists newest billboard says Jesus is a ‘myth’ on a N.Y. Times Square billboard. The billboard has a picture of Santa with the words, “Keep the Merry” and a picture of Jesus with the words, “Dump the Myth.” Atheists dub a myth and want to dump Jesus, the only one who can heal the brokenhearted and wipe away all tears forever! It’s sad to be politically correct, some school systems call Christmas the Winter Holiday when Christmas has been a federal holiday since 1870. It’s sad scrooges like the governor of Rhode Island try to remove Christ from Christmas, he said to honor non-Christians by calling their state tree a “holiday tree.” What holiday does a holiday tree celebrate? Our country honors Jesus less than ever before. The Bible says in all your ways acknowledge and honor Jesus. Christians want people to know what their for and the main thing we are for is Christ Jesus, that makes Christian want to keep Christ in Christmas and everything else. Since Christmas is one of the few times that the world stops to consider spiritual truths, Christians have an opportunity and obligation to invite friends and family to church and let them know our greatest cause for rejoicing is in celebrating God’s gift of His son, Jesus. Christians won’t let anyone’s objections affect their celebration of Christmas and will remind everyone, Jesus is the reason for the season. For Christians, it will always be Christmas with a capital “C”!

Newsweek Magazine reported, “The War on Christmas is Over” and at least among retailers, Christmas won. According to the American Family Association (AFA), 80 percent of the retailers in 2005 used terms like, “holidays” in their advertising and on store signs now a vast majority have reverted back to using the word, “Christmas.” The AFA said, there has been a correction because retailers realized people weren’t offended by being wished a Merry Christmas but those who celebrate the birth of Christ Jesus are offended when you downplay that.

Jesus is the most unique person to ever live and has had the most positive effect of anyone in history. The world can’t take away the uniqueness of Jesus or change the reason for the season. The birth of Jesus was the only event in history that was so unique and important to change time (B.C. to A.D.) and restart the calendar. Let Jesus the Prince of Peace restart your life and give you peace. As C.S. Lewis said,

“Without Jesus it would be always winter, never Christmas!”
