Nave offended by “homosexual militants”

Dear Editor:

Marvin Olasky said, “Where will it end? Each month this fall brought more attempts to kill the careers of anyone who speaks negatively about homosexuality. Novelist Orson Scott Card. Football analyst Craig James. Now Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson. Boycotts. Firing. Indefinite hiatus.” “Duck Dynasty” dad Phil Robertson has been suspended indefinitely by the A&E Network following his recent comments on homosexuality in the magazine GQ. Robertson said,” Everything is blurred on what’s right and what’s wrong…Sin becomes fine,” he said. “Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men.” Paraphrasing Corinthians Robertson added: “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers – they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”

Some extremely tolerant, extremely non-judgmental, supporters of diversity (sarcasm) called for Robertson to be fired. The gay and lesbian group GLAAD was quick to criticize Robertson for his comments and called on A&E to take action. The homosexual militants call for diversity mean they encourage every kind of diversity except diversity of opinion. The homosexual militants are really against free speech. “Diversity” means all are welcome if they think the same on this issue.

GLAAD spokesman Wilson Cruz said, “Phil and his family claim to be Christian, but Phil lies about an entire community fly in the face of what true Christians believe.” Robertson did present a Biblical view of homosexuality. Why does GLAAD spokesman call him a lair and feel he has the authority to say what is a “true Christian” and what isn’t? When we hear reprobates (those who celebrate homosexuality or abortion) who insist on false claims about Christianity we should insist that they actually read the Bible in Romans 1, etc.

I support Robertson and like that Phil tried to evangelize GQ readers. Robertson said, “If you simply put faith in Jesus coming down in the flesh (Christmas) through a human being (Jesus) God becoming flesh living on the earth, dying on the cross for the sins of the world, being buried and raised from the dead – yours and mine and everybody else’s problems will be solved. And the next time we see you we will say: You are now a brother. Our brother.”

Homosexuals call Robertson a hater. However, just like Jesus, Phil Robertson loves everyone. “To those who hate the truth, the truth is hate!”
