Cold Springs Utility customer says water bill is inaccurate

Dear Editor:

We are a family of four people from Mountain City, TN and we get our water/sewer service from Cold Springs Utility. Our bills over the past few years has been high but this latest one was ridiculous. The bill says that we used 4,200 gallons and the bill is $91.25. We have checked for leaks and we do not have any. Also we have asked for a adjustment to the bill but the officials there say that because we did not have a leak, they could not offer us one. I have contacted Nashville and so far no word from them. We are not the only household in this area with these bills. To protest these high price bills, I am paying mine with coins rolled up for the total.
