Christians should not be afraid to voice beliefs

Dear Editor:

America continues to glorify and legalize the sin of homosexuality, and many are choosing not to speak out for fear of being labeled a homophobic or intolerable of this wicked lifestyle. The government is moving at brake neck speed to promote this agenda, and, with the help of Hollywood, they are brainwashing the next generation. In 2012, it’s called a lifestyle, but thousands of years ago, God called this filthy sin an abomination and God never changes!
The Lord sent Jonah to Nineveh, Paul to Rome, Philip to Samaria, Peter to Joppa, and Nathan to King David, but have you ever considered who God sent to Sodom and Gomorrah?  He could have sent 500 Jonah’s to preach to the sodomites, but, He chose two angels to utterly destroy that den of iniquity….. No preaching, no repenting, no second chances, just unrelenting fire and brimstone. God hates homosexuality, and still calls it an abomination in 2012.
God calls us to be a holy people, set apart, and not influenced by our wicked culture. Christians cannot have it both ways, we are either for God or against Him, we can either believe His Holy Word or the left wing print and broadcast media.
Are we really taking this sin and God’s wrath seriously? Shouldn’t more Christians be speaking out against this wickedness; if they call you homophobic, or scream that you’re intolerable, consider it a blessing because the Judgment Seat of Christ is coming, if we stand up for, and stay with God’s Word, some day the Lord Jesus will say to us, “Well done”.  Don’t let the left-wing God haters scare you into submissive silence, speak out against sin! “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” Proverbs 14:34 (KJB)
