Beta Theta is thankful to those that supported coat drive

Dear Editor:

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the individuals and businesses that made this year’s “Coats for Kids” project a success.

They are, Operation Pocket Change, Johnson County Bank, Farmers State Bank, Elizabethton Federal, Mountain Loans, Family Prescription, Security Finance, Mountain City Funeral Home, Smith & Cockett Attorney’s, Roan Creek Church, Storie Street Grill, Dr. Don and Carole Tarr, Barbara Seals, Tracy Hart, Bonnie and Chris Reece, Mike and Temple Reece, Brad and Christy Gentry, Henry and Jill Bontrager and Rick May.

With their help 192 children in Johnson County received coats to keep them warm this winter.

We would also like to thank the Johnson County School System for their help with providing the children’s names and sizes, buses to transport the children and allowing school personnel to accompany them as they pick up their coats.

We want the Town of Mountain City, Flo Bellamy and her wonderful staff at the Mountain City, Johnson County Community Center to know how much we appreciate the use of the facility and all the help they give us.

These children also receive shoes from the Masons of Johnson County and hats and gloves from the Kiwanis Club at the same time they receive their coats.

We, and the precious children who received coats, deeply appreciate their generosity. Together we made a difference.
