Annual Drug Take Back yields success

A recent Drug Take Back Day under the direction of ACTION Coalition in Johnson County was once again a huge success for the community. Dozens of area residents took part in the effort and dropped off outdated and unwanted medication last month resulting in 147.6 pounds of medications being turned in. All involved in assisting and helping to make this event possible and successful, including volunteers, Debbie Eisenhower and Teresa Osborne as well as, Mountain City Town Hall, Shady Valley Fire Department, Butler Fire Department, Johnson County Sheriffs Department, Mountain City Police Department and ETSU College of Pharmacy would like to thank the community for their support. State Representative Timothy Hill’s (R-Blountville) also stopped by to show his support and interest in the community.
