Senior News

The Senior Center has started a new circle called “Chicks with Sticks.” The group is made up of seniors that love to crochet or knit. They are working on a project for Avalon Hospice Care to make lap blankets for their patients. When finished the group led by Joann Eller is planning to knit hats for Shriners Childrens Hospital. Connie Hedinger was excited to help with the project, and she is now set to be teaching her knitting skills. “The senior center has brought new life to me, and I enjoy being with others and knitting for others, too,” she said. The group meet every Monday at 10 a.m. Photo submitted
