Low Income Home Energy Assistance

Program accepting applications

Tim Jaynes, executive director of the Upper East Tennessee Human Development Agency (UETHDA), announced today that the agency will begin accepting applications for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). Applications will be accepted now through June 30, 2017. The LIHEAP program is designed for households in need of assistance with the expense that is incurred with home energy costs. Applications can be picked up at area Neighborhood Service Centers or by visiting the agency website at www. uethda.org. More information on LIHEAP and a list of addresses for local Neighborhood Service Centers is also available on the website. Applications will also be mailed to local residents when requested by calling 423-246-6180.
