Community Harvest Dinner at Doe Mountain
Johnson County Community Harvest Dinner Saturday, Sept. 17th from 3:30 till 7 p.m. at the Doe Mountain Recreation Area Visitor Center, 1203 Harbin Hill Rd., Mountain City, TN.
3:00-3:20 Arrive at Visitor Center to get organized for the hike up Doe Mountain Trail at 3:30. Carol Camp, organizer of the Hiking Club, will lead a leisurely hike on one of the Doe Mountain trails that will last approximately one hour. This is a great opportunity for those who have not visited our beautiful Doe Mountain Recreation Area to experience one of the gentle trails with a guide. Bring your cameras and comfortable closed-toe hiking shoes. Hike starts promptly at 3:30.
4:30-5:00 Drink refreshments served. For those not participating in the hike, please arrive by 5 p.m.
5:00 Music begins by Acorn Valley Bluegrass Band

5:30 Dinner served by Craig Cox and the Johnson County High School Culinary Art students. Fresh ingredients for the Community Harvest Dinner provided by the farmers of Johnson County Farmer’s Market.
After dinner residents will have the opportunity to talk with several candidates running for office. The Community Harvest Dinner is open to our whole community free of cost.
