Christmas Tree Farm Worker – Shatley Farms LLC, West Jefferson, NC; Worksites in Ashe County, NC and Grayson County, VA Commitment Dates: 09/28/18 – 12/22/18 – $11.46 per hour Must be able to remove brush, shear tops and limb tips, cut trees using chainsaw or axe, drag trees weighing up to 100 lbs. and lift onto tree baler, load trees onto trucks, work in extreme temperatures from 90+ degrees F down to –10 degrees F., and all other duties required for farming operation. Equipment/work tools are provided without cost to worker, housing provided at no cost to workers, including US workers who cannot reasonably return to residence at the end of the work day. Transportation and subsistence expenses to the worksite will be paid by the employer upon completion of 50% of the work contract, or earlier if appropriate.
