Calvary Baptist Church opens clothes closet to the public
Calvary Baptist Church now has a clothes closet ministry.  It will be open to the public on Tuesday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.  If you are or know of anyone in need, please come visit us on Tuesday nights in our Life Center. They are located at 1324 Cold Springs Road in Mountain City.

God’s Country Church opens new thrift store
New thrift store now open at 996 Crossroads Drive in Mountain City at God’s Country Church.  A huge selection of merchandise.  Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday each week from 9:00am to 3:00 pm daily.

Roan Creek Baptist Church to begin broadcasting Sunday services
Roan Creek Baptist Church has begun broadcasting a live video stream of our Sunday services at 11am and 6pm.

East Tennessee Medical Mission at Roan Creek Baptist Church has medical equipment for those in need
If you are in need of medical equipment please call the Roan Creek Baptist church 423-727-7061.  You may also contact Junior Maze at 423-727-4925, Derl McCloud at 423-727-6536, and Tom Nelson at 423-727-7589. We also take used medical equipment. If you want to donate equipment to our church please call any of the numbers listed above.

The Way of the Cross Revival Center to start full time services June 12th
The Way of the Cross Revival Center will be starting full time services June the 12th Sunday School 10:00 am, preaching 11:00 with Rev. Carter Wells.  Revival beginning at 7:00 pm with Homer Vanover and Rev. Carter Wells preaching Tuesday night and Thursday night, Home Vanover will be preaching Sunday night, Monday night, Wednesday night and Friday night.  Special singings will be held on Tuesday, June 14th with Walter Simcox, Grace David and Jewell Atwood.  Everyone is welcome.

Changing Sunday School Schedule
Sunday School will meet at 9:45 am beginning on July 24.  This change will allow for more fellowship time between school and Worship Service, which starts as usual at 11 am.  Come join us for study and discussion, fellowship, and worship.  Wednesday Bible study and prayer meets weekly at 1 pm.
Gospel Musical Festival will be held
at Ralph Stout Park
There will be a Gospel Music Festival on August 20th from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Ralph Stout Park.  Music included Colonel Isaac Moore, Kings Kids, George Bray, Joe Crisp, The Principles, Austin Tate, Valley Grass and Dwayne Tester, among others.

Pleasant Grove Baptist Church to start preschool registration
Preschool Registration at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church has now begun.  Preschool begins on August 8.  The hours are from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays.  Please call (423) 727-6805 for more information and registration packets.

Johnson County Camp meeting scheduled for August 1-5 at Trade Community Center
The Johnson County Camp meeting will be held at the Trade Community Center the week of August 1-5.  Service time is 7:30 p.m. nightly.  Bro. Charles Worley, pastor of Providence Road Baptist Church in Maiden, NC will once again be preaching at each service.  Special music includes The Perry Voices on Monday, The Orange Family on Tuesday, Campmeeting choir on Wednesday, The Edwards Family on Thursday and the Joyaires on Friday.  Be much in prayer for the services and make plans to join together with fellow believers as we reach out to our community with the gospel message.

First Christian Church still accepting applications for First Christian Church Preschool
Applications are still be accepted for the 2016/2017 school year at First Christian Church Preschool. Preschool operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am – 2pm. Child should be 3 or 4 years old and potty trained. Applications can be picked up at the church office at 401 West Main Street. For more information, please contact the church office at 727-9151.

Community Prayer Service for School to be held at Ralph Stout Park
The Community Prayer Service for Schools will be held at the pavilion at Ralph Stout Park on Sunday, July 31, at 3:00 PM. Following the service, we will break out to different schools to pray. Everyone is invited.

Nelson’s Chapel Baptist Church will hold a fund raising yard sale. They are located at 2043 Forge Creek Road. Lots of great items priced to sell!  Household items, Christmas Items, clothes of all sizes, and even a 5 ton gas heating & cooling unit!  August 4th 1pm to 7pm & August 5th 8am to 1pm.  Rain or Shine!

Calvary Baptist Church will hold a free family movie night on Friday, July 29th, at 8:30 pm.  Bring your family and come join us.   The church is located at a1354 Cold Springs Road.

State Line Church to hold singing
Pastor Josh Jones and his family from Faith Gospel Church will be singing at State Line Church in Laurel Bloomery on July 31 at 6:00 pm.  Everyone is welcome.

Song Service at First United Methodist Church
The “Fifth Sunday Fellowship in Song” service will be held at First United Methodist Church on Sunday, July 31st at 11:00 a.m. The worship service will include congregational singing of familiar hymns and uplifting music by the church choir and special guests, Kenny Price, Lois Dunn, Andrew Matherly, and Lou Hodges. Price, musician extraordinaire, will play both the banjo and fiddle, two of the long list of instruments he plays.  One selection by Price is playing the fiddle during the presentation of “The Touch of the Master’s Hand,” read by Evelyn Cook. Lois Dunn will sing and play the guitar. Andrew Matherly, grandson of Dunn, will accompany the group on the fiddle. Lou Hodges completes the quartet with her skills on bass. All of these guests reside in Mountain City.
