Nelson Chapel Baptist Church Mission Team to hold roast beef dinner
The Nelson Chapel Baptist Church Mission Team is having a roast beef dinner on July 15, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 pm. The dinner will consist of roast beef and gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, roll, dessert and drink. Prices are $10.00 for 12 & up, $5.00 for ages 4-11 and 3 and under are free. Tickets available in advance or you may pay at the door. Both dine in or carry outs will be available. You may contact the church office at 727-3054/3055 to purchase tickets, if no answer, leave a message. Please come out for an evening of delicious food and great fellowship. Appalachian Church of Christ to hold Vacation Bible School
Appalachian Church of Christ will hold their Vacation Bible School on Friday, July 15 6:30-8:00 and Saturday, July 16, from 10:00 to 2:00.  Come and join us on the voyage of the Alpha and Omega Vacation Bible School.  There are Bible classes for all ages, even adults.  There will be food, fun and you might get wet on this ride.  Lesson one is The Harbor of Peace. Lesson two is Lighthouse of Hope and Lesson Three is Anchor of Salvation.  The church is located at 144 Calvary Lane in Mountain City, just off Cold Springs Road.  For more information, call 423-727-4928.

First United Methodist Church to hold Vacation Bible School
Summer isn’t over yet!  Let’s go surfing!  We’ve the boards, the shades, the epic waves.  All we need is you!

Gospel Musical Festival will be held at Ralph Stout Park
There will be a Gospel Music Festival on August 20th from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Ralph Stout Park. Music included Colonel Isaac Moore, Kings Kids, George Bray, Joe Crisp, The Principles, Austin Tate, Valley Grass and Dwayne Tester, among others.

Mountain View Baptist Church to hold Saturday night singing
Mountain View Baptist Church will hold a Saturday night singing on Saturday, July 23 at 7:00 pm. Singing will be James and Starla Dean from Ohio. Pastor Brian Weaver and the congregation invites everyone to attend.

Evergreen Baptist Church holding a special singing
Evergreen Baptist church is having special singing Mercy’s River Sunday July 17th at 7pm.

Corinth Baptist Church Singing
The Bradleys will be in a song service at Corinth Baptist Church on Sunday morning, July 17, 2016 at the 11:00 am service. Corinth Baptist Church is located off Highway 91N toward Damascus, Virginia on Deer Run Road. Rainbow Mennonite Church to hold annual outing for kids
God’s Outdoors Disciples in conjunction with Rainbow Mennonite Church will have the annual outing for kids this Saturday, July 16th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the old Forge Creek School. Trout fishing, archery, air rifle, hunting and fishing simulators. Free lunch. No admission. 727-6230 for info. All participants must have waiver signed by parent.
