The future stars of tomorrow took to the courts on Saturday in the second round of the youth basketball tournaments played at Doe Elementary and Roan Creek Elementary schools.
The double elimination tournament will continue all week long with games at both schools.
After Tuesday, all games are scheduled to be played at Roan Creek.

B-Division

The father and daughter coaching combination of Stacey Jennings and J.R. Campbell had their hoopsters ready in this one. MC 2 was hitting on all cylinders scoring 30 points in just three quarters of play.
Carter Atwood hit the first four points of the game to give MC 2 a 4-0 lead. Two more baskets by Carson Jennings and one by Andrew Long extended their lead at 10-0.
MC2 held a 20-3 halftime lead and was up 30-5 after three quarters of play.
Roan Creek got a nice performance by Sammy Seivers who tallied 10 points in the game. Josh Potter had the other two points.
Jennings scored a game hit 12 points for MC2 while Atwood added eight. Long and Juan Mejia tallied four points each. Christopher Thomas scored the final two points for the winners.

Both teams played well in an up and down contest that wasn’t decided until midway through the fourth quarter.
Landin Lipford had a monster game scoring 12 points for RC2. Jack Csillog added eight points. Dalton Ward (3 points), Leim Cranford (2 points) and Gunner Hutchins (1 point) rounding out the scoring.
Dylan Warren scored a game high 13 points for MC1. Braxton Bragg closed out their scoring with six points and also pulled down a team high nine rebounds.

C-Division

Sawyer Marshall scored half of his team’s points while leading MC3 to victory. Marshall ended the game with six points and 10 rebounds. Gavin Mchala chipped in with four points while Tanner Leonard scored the other two.
Gage Grissom had a big day for MC2 scoring six points. Scottie Orndorf provided the other two points.

Grayson Day scored six points for Roan Creek while leading them to victory in a C-Division matchup. Grayson Espinoza added four points for RC 2. Audrey Shaw provided three and Avonna Hunphrey scored two.
Hunter McElyea lead MC2 with four points. Camden Johnson scored the other two points.

RC 1 showed why they remain undefeated with a hefty 25-point win over Doe 2. The dynamic duo of Dalton Pope and Conner Simcox stepped up big scoring 15 and 13 points respectively. Eli Dickens provided eight points while James Potter collected four.
Nate Dorman stepped up big for MC3 scoring seven points. Carter Rhudy led the way with eight points. Ethan Reece and Dalton scored two each while Conner Stout tallied a single point.

Derek Baird scored 13 points leading his team to victory. Tanner Bulliner and Brady Fritts added six points. Peyton Woodard chipped in with four points.
Josh Lowe scored seven points for Doe 2. Casey Ollinger added four points while Corbin Presnell and Peyton Perry contributed two points each.
