HENRY EUGENE STOUT -
Henry Eugene Stout of Uniontown died Feb. 3, 2012, at his home. He was 90.
Henry was born April 8, 1921, at Mountain City, Tenn., to Clay and Mary Nave Stout. The family came West on the train when he was only 10 months old, settling near Uniontown. He went to school at Uniontown and graduated from Colton High School. Henry also attended Lewis-Clark Normal School for a time.
He and his brother, Claude, farmed in the Uniontown area until 1972, when he sold his interest to Claude and went to work for McGregor Fertilizer Co. for the next 17 years, retiring in 1989. Henry was always interested in education and served on the Colton School Board and was a member of the Uniontown Community Church.
Henry and Lillian F. Russell were married June 5, 1951, in Vancouver, Wash. She preceded him in death in April of 2008. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Claude and Everett Stout.
Henry is survived by his son, Ronald Stout of Lewiston; his daughter, Louise Trail of Kennewick; grandchildren Sheri Morgenstern, Clayton Stout, Donald Trail and Kelly Trail; and two brothers, Raymond and Martin Stout, both of Genesee.
The funeral service WAS at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Short's Funeral Chapel in Moscow. Burial will follow at the Uniontown Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Salvation Army.
